In the past, relationship options on this site were limited to the purely wholesome goals of friendship or long-term dating, but now there are more choices, including those looking for "intimate/physical chemistry," wording that's vague enough not to cause anyone to blush with modesty or flush with desire. In other words, the site seems to be a somewhat conservative and safe setting to meet people online without being prudish about what some members might seek.

There's no charge for browsing the profiles. Moreover, you can do extremely localized searches even before you pay one dime to be a member. Free searches can be narrowed down to within one mile of any American zip code. Other countries may be limited to searches by country, state/province and city, although, at least in Canada, you can search by area code (as you can in the States), as well as by postal code.

You can send free flirts (maximum 30 per day), which are cleverly prewritten phrases to show interest in anyone you notice in your search results. In return, that individual can look up your profile and send a flirt back if interested in you. The only other free way to communicate on the site is instant messaging, in which it's free to reply to messages from paid members, although to initiate a conversation you'll need to be a premium subscriber.
